This is definitely one of the strangest things I've ever filmed and in a way also my acting debut. Matt of MB Productions fashioned a head rig for me to wear out of a gorillapod and the interior of a hard hat helmet. I had my Canon 60D hanging in front of my face upside down with a wide angle lens and Rode VideoMic Pro. The screen was a mere inch from my eyes so by closing one eye I was able to make out enough of the screen to frame and I relied solely on my knowledge of hyperfocal distances and peaking (courtesy of Magic Lantern) to ensure focus throughout.
There was very little time to film this as we couldn't film in the police station when they had a 'customer'. What was meant to be 4 hours quickly became 3 and then 2 and then we were losing daylight fast for the exterior scene. I had a lot of fun though being arrested but hopefully no one watching this will experience it for real.
